Tropical Storm Allison

A Presidential Disaster Declaration (for Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto, Flagler, Hardee, Highlands, Lee, Manatee, Putnam, St Johns, & Sarasota Counties) was issued on September 28, 2001, for governmental infrastructure disaster relief in the FEMA Public Assistance Program. State/local governmental agencies, and certain private non-profit organizations that provide governmental-type services to the general public, are eligible for federal disaster relief. Emergency work costs (debris removal and emergency protective measures for the public health/safety and for improved property) and restoration costs for storm-damaged facilities are eligible for reimbursement consideration. Eligible Applicants seeking this disaster assistance must file a Request for Public Assistance (RPA) with the Department of Community Affairs by October 28, 2001. SUMMARY: This notice amends the notice of a major disaster declaration for the State of Florida, (FEMA-1393-DR), dated September 28, 2001, and related determinations.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The notice of a major disaster declaration for the State of Florida is hereby amended to include the following areas among those areas determined to have been adversely affected by the catastrophe declared a major disaster by the President in his declaration of September 28, 2001: Collier, Highlands, Lee, and Putnam Counties for Public Assistance.
