A Federal Emergency Declaration (FEMA-3150-EM-FL) was issued on October 15, 1999 for 28 counties. The counties are Brevard, Broward, Charlotte, Collier, Dade, DeSoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Highlands, Hillsborough, Indian River, Lake, Lee, Manatee, Martin, Monroe, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, St. Lucie, Sarasota, Seminole, and Volusia. The Federal Emergency Management Agency will provide debris removal (Category A) and emergency protective measures (Category B) including direct Federal assistance at 75% Federal funding.
