Name Jumping Jax Anthrax Tabletop Exercise

At the direction of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Janet Napolitano, and with further guidance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Deputy Administrator for National Preparedness Tim Manning, DHS will sponsor and conduct a series of anthrax response exercises between the fall of 2009 and the fall of 2010. As directed, FEMA will lead this effort with close coordination with the DHS Office of Health Affairs (OHA) and other DHS components.

Florida State Division of Emergency Management and FEMA Region IV will initiate this effort on the 2nd of December 2009, with the Jumping Jax Anthrax Tabletop Exercise (TTX) in Tallahassee. We anticipate that this exercise will provide an outstanding opportunity to address possible challenges that our community may face in these changing times.
