Recovery - Disaster Reservist Program-Introduction

View more photos
Because of the insufficient number of trained disaster specialists to manage and recover from a major or catastrophic disaster, the Florida Division of Emergency Management has initiated a Disaster Reservist program. Adults with the time and commitment to complete the required training will be considered for employment with the State of Florida in times of catastrophic, presidentially declared disasters, where additional human resources may be necessary to manage and recover from the disaster event.
