2010 Severe Weather Awareness Week
The Florida Division of Emergency Management is pleased to announce the winners of the
2010 Florida Severe Weather Awareness Poster and Public Service Announcement Contest:
2010 Florida Severe Weather Awareness Week Contest Winners
1st Place: Bayley Goodson, Gilchrist Elementary School, Tallahassee
2nd Place: Isaiah Springer, Florida State University School, Tallahassee
3rd Place: Ambar Calle, Coconut Grove Elementary School, Miami
Winning posters will hang in the State Emergency Operations Center throughout the year. Winners also received passes to Walt Disney World Theme Parks and a trip to the Severe Weather Awareness Week kickoff party in Downtown Disney.
Middle School Division: Daniel and Adam Carr; Tampa
High School Division: AaronJames Santos, Stephanie Widjaja, Darren Domingo, Delmar Halford; Sandalwood High School, Jacksonville
Winning videos will air statewide as part of the Division’s 2010 Public Awareness Campaign. Winners also received annual passes to Walt Disney World Theme Parks and a trip to the Severe Weather Awareness Week kickoff party in Downtown Disney.
