DisasterAssistance.gov

Federal disaster assistance is available to affected individuals in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton and Bay counties following the impact of Hurricane Sally. 

The deadline to register is Dec. 1, 2020.

When a disaster occurs, this program provides grant money and services to people in the declared area whose property has been damaged or destroyed and whose losses are underinsured or not covered by insurance. To file a claim for assistance, you must first register with FEMA in one of the following ways:

If you are in one of these counties, you will need the following to apply for assistance:

  • Social Security Number;
  • Daytime telephone number;
  • Current mailing address and address and zip code of the damaged property; and
  • Insurance information, if available.

The following information is necessary when you register:

  • Address of the damaged dwelling where the damage occurred (pre-disaster address)
  • Current mailing address
  • Current telephone number
  • Insurance information
  • Total household annual income
  • Routing and account number for checking or savings account (this allows FEMA to directly transfer disaster assistance funds into a bank account)
  • A description of disaster-caused damage and losses

SBA Opens Business Recovery Center in Florida For Businesses Affected by Hurricane Sally  (10/06/20)

Applicants may apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via the SBA’s secure website at https://DisasterLoanAssistance.sba.gov/.

Additional details on the Business Recovery Center, requests for loan applications and information on the loan application process can be obtained by calling the SBA Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 (800-877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing) or by sending an e-mail to FOCE-Help@sba.gov.

The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is Dec. 1, 2020. The deadline to return economic injury applications is July 2, 2021.

SBA representatives will provide information about disaster loans, answer questions and assist businesses in completing the SBA application. The SBA is committed to the Florida small business community’s economic recovery.

To apply or to learn more about the eligibility requirements for the Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan, visit www.FloridaJobs.org/EBL. The deadline to apply for the Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan is Novermber 14. This short term, interest-free loan program is available to small businesses in Florida that have experienced economic injury as a result of Hurricane Sally.
